In honour of our 50th Anniversary we would like to extend an invitation to our VAC members to help create a ‘Celebration Wall’ of 50 ARTWORKS by 50 MEMBERS! Our ‘GOLD’ themed wall of works will be featured upcoming Little Gems Show.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: VAC members only. Room only for first 50 participants. No hanging fee. Original works -art not shown before. All works will have an equal retail value of $150 ($50 commission fee to VAC upon sale). Artwork must be 10 X 10. -edges must be finished . Please incorporate GOLD as a theme into your artwork.
The Victoria Arts Council (VAC) is pleased to host another installment of Little Gems at 1800 Store St. This festive event kicks off the holiday season with works by a wide variety of local artists and artisans, including painting, drawing, pottery, craft, and photography. Just in time for holiday shopping; there is a little something for everyone
with all pieces priced $300 or under.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: November 26th at 11:00am
Works must be dropped off at VAC 1800 Store St on November 25th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm or November 26th from 9:00am to 11:00am. Exhibition Strike: Please collect your works from 1800 Store Street on December 21 from 5:00pm-7:00pm and December 22 from 12:00pm-4:00pm
- Open to VAC members and non-members.
- 2 or 3 dimensional pieces accepted, maximum size for 2-D pieces is 16×20 inches, maximum size for 3-D pieces is 2 feet x 2 feet.
- Maximum 3 original works of art or 2 original works of art and art cards/prints.
- Maximum price of $300 per piece.
- Works submitted must not be for sale at other retail/gallery locations during the run of the exhibition.
- Original Works: $10 per work and 3 / $20 for VAC members, $20 per work for non-members.
- Art Cards and Prints: $10 for 10 items for VAC members and $20 per 10 items for non-members. (Note: please enter Art Cards or Prints as the title of your work, they will be considered one submission in the form below.)
- Jewellery: $10 per item and 3 / $20 for VAC members and $20 per item for non-members. Maximum of 3 jewellery items allowed.
- 25% commission taken on all items sold
As a non-profit organization, volunteer assistance is crucial to the success of our programs. Participants are expected to sign up for volunteer shifts during the run of the show. To sign up for volunteer shifts, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Members who volunteer for one or more shifts will have their commission reduced to 20% and their intake fee reduced to $10 for 3 works.
