Artist Statement & Bio:
As mentioned in my art Masters thesis, I have been drawn to movement and color since I can remember. In fact, my birthday and Christmas presents were different materials/mediums to try different types and styles of art. This is how I remember my childhood, always playing and creating.
As my business art card states… “Enjoy where it takes you!” This is the basis of my process and inspiration. I am a Westcoast gal so many of my pieces are outdoors, trees and the ocean. To expand, my pieces often reflect the beauty of places and moments from my travels.
I also teach art in many ways. Some of these are: at public school, weekends at a fine arts school, group classes with special needs adults, and group sessions. I always learn something about myself and the medium/material. This is how I like to spend my time.
Creating art events and participating in them is also a huge part of my curriculum vitae. It’s fruitful to be on both sides of an art project or installation.
I hope my art brings you joy! Delight in the principles and elements of art/design. There is so much for us to experience and enjoy.
