About the artist: Luis immigrated to Canada in 2002. Without a formal artistic education, he considers himself a part-time, self-learned artist. Enjoying visual arts since childhood, he started painting as a hobby only a few years ago, experimenting first with acrylics and recently with oil — a medium that has become his preferred since then. Luis moved to Langford B.C. five years ago.
