About the Artist:
Marianne Goodrich is a visual artist who works out of her home studio near the ocean in James Bay. She is influenced and inspired by her natural surroundings and the global art community.
Collage is her passion, and she uses Japanese, Nepalese and Italian papers, recycled and found papers, ink, watercolour, graphite, and occasionally includes other materials such as buttons, cloth, etc. Marianne enjoys illustration, working mainly with ink, graphite, acrylic, gouache and watercolour on rag paper. Colour is her touchstone, in both her personal life and art practice, and pattern is incorporated into many of her art pieces.
Marianne also repurposes materials such as ceramic tiles, shards, beads, buttons, shells, feathers, driftwood, paper, jewellery, and other found and/or new objects to make mosaics and assemblages.
Her artwork can be viewed on www.mariannegoodrich.com as well as on Instagram: @mariannegoodrich1650.
