Artist Statement:
My compositions are a reflection of the dynamic and powerful relationship between the ocean and humanity. Living on Vancouver Island, I am constantly inspired by the ever-changing moods and immense scale of the sea. I seek to convey the beauty and force of the ocean, encouraging viewers to contemplate our place within this powerful natural world. Many of my paintings emerge from memories of moments spent by the sea.
I am incredibly grateful to the Victoria Arts Council for providing a platform to share my work and for their ongoing support of local artists. I hope my art resonates with you and prompts a moment of reflection on your own relationship with nature.
