ARTIST STATEMENT
I have worked with most art mediums and have a wide variety of styles and subject matter. I’m usually inspired by something I see or read, then I will make three or more paintings following the same theme. I hope my pictures will impart to viewers the same feelings that inspired me to do the artwork.
BIO
I have always loved making art but started being more serious about it after leaving an initial career as a systems analyst. I then studied art full time as a mature student, first at Exeter Community College in the UK then later at Oxford University and most recently at Leith School of Art in Edinburgh. I emigrated to Canada from the UK many years ago and currently I live in Victoria, BC, Canada.
I have shown individual paintings in several exhibitions in the UK and Canada and in 2019 I had a solo exhibition at the Cedar Hill Art Centre in Victoria. Nine of my paintings have been finalists in recent Gallery Ring online exhibitions.
