Artist Statement:
Welcome to the Lichen Cult Bake Sale! All cakes are made from ethically salvaged lichens that fell onto roadsides during recent windstorms. These cakes are not edible! All proceeds go to supporting the Lichen Cult leader and their mission to spread the good word about lichens. After purchasing, please place your cake on your altar and worship the wisdom of symbiosis! Admire the beauty of the amazing compositie organisms that are lichens! If you are ready to upgrade to “Enlightened Lichen Cult Follower” status, please place your Lichen Cult Cake outside during a rainstorm and watch it slowly fall apart and get blown away, returning to the environment from which it was sourced. Join the Lichen Cult!
